Where do I find absence notifications sent from parents via the portal and/or app?
- Responses to existing absences are located under School Attendance > Notifications > Responses.
- Requests for future absences are located under School Attendance > Notifications > Future Absence Requests.
Responses
For each response you receive, you will need to determine if the response is adequate.
- If it meets the requirements, you must then select which school code to apply and tick if you wish to add this response to the absence comment.
- Once Saved, the child's attendance record is updated and the response moves to the Explained Response tab.
Future Absence Requests
If this feature is switched on at your school, parents can send through request for leave for future dates.
- The school can approve or reject this request.
- If you approve, you will be required to complete an absence record for that student.
- Once approved, the students attendance record will be updated to reflect this absence.
