Can I make my own Continuums?

If you would like to create your own continuums (e.g. to set up ‘I can …’ statements for the school), there are templates samples available under the Import/Export menu in Continuum Tracker Setup.

The Continuum Template is a simple way of designing a continuum that can be imported into the Continuum Creator. Each row in the import corresponds to a marker to be placed against an aspect/cluster intersection. The template contains the following columns which should be filled out:
  • continuum: The name of the continuum to create
  • aspect_shortname: A short version of the name or a code to use for the aspect
  • aspect_fullname: The full name of the aspect
  • cluster_shortname: A short version of the name or a code to use for the aspect
  • cluster_fullname: The full name of the aspect
  • marker: The marker to place at this aspect/cluster intersection
  • marker_explanation: An optional explanation describing the marker
If a value is missing from any cell in the import other than marker columns then the previous found value for that column will be used.

When a template is ready to import, open a category in the continuum creator and click on the Import button to import the continuums into that category.

Alternatively you can go to Manage Continuums > Create a New Category > Create New Continuum eg Swimming Ability
