A student has changed classes in timetable, but I do not want this to reflect in reports?

In Sentral Reports, this is referred to as pinning a student. Once a student has been pinned, changes synced from the Data Layer will not affect the class the student has been pinned in.

All data remains saved within the Reporting Period within which they were active and reported on for historical purposes.  If the student is unenrolled during an active reporting period, it is recommended to 'Pin' the student to the reporting period, to ensure that the student remains 'active' within the period, whilst their enrolment turns to student leaver status within your database throughout other aspects of Sentral.

Important to Note
This requires Administrator access to Sentral reports.

To pin a student, in Academic Reports, go to;
  • Academic Reports Setup > Students
  • Lookup student and click the drop-down arrow next to their name
  • Select View Student's Classes
  • Click Pin against the student's active classes for the current reporting period
