How do I setup a flag for a student?

Sentral has a concept of Flags which appear across different modules to make critical information about a student readily available. These can be set manually per student, or can be set automatically based on information from the schools administration and enrolments system.

Important to Note
This requires Administrator level acess to Student Profiles.

There are two ways to add a Flag to a student's profile: 
  • You can create the Flag within Profiles Setup and then assign a list of students to the flag; OR
  • Lookup and access a student's profile via Profiles 2  > click Edit Flags  > Add Flag > Save 


There are a set of Automatic Flags which can be enabled within setup, that are based on the data we draw into Sentral from your administration and enrolments system.  You can enable these by going to: 
  •  Profiles > Profiles Setup  > Automatic Student Flags
  • Click Enable against the Flag(s) you wish to have displayed against students on Profiles
  • Here you can also assign which application(s) outside of Profiles that the flag displays within eg. Attendance, Wellbeing
To create a new Manual Flag, which is not generated automatically, but is assigned to a set list of students using either of the 2 options above, go to: 
  • Profiles > Profiles Setup > Manual Student Flags
  • Add a flag here
  • Click on Manage Students to assign this flag to the list of applicable students.
