The main reason this occurs is because: although a student has been marked as absent in roll call for the whole day, if one teacher has marked them as present in one period, it will modify the official roll for that day. This is because they are marked as present for part of the day, so Sentral will give them a partial absence.

To change this one period marked in error, go to;

• Go to School Attendance > search for student
• The students attendance screen,
• Scroll down to the date,
• View the teacher who entered this data,
• Modify accordingly.

Once the incorrect period is marked as absent, it will automatically change the student data to whole day absence.
