What does Activities - Student Portal Selection Period do?

The Sentral Student Portal allows students to select activities as defined by the school.

The Student Portal Selection Period defines the period of time the number of student selections last for. It is easiest to explain with an example.
Lets say your Selection Period is Semester 1, and a student can make a maximum of 3 selections.
Once a student selects 3 activites, they cannot select another activity for Semester 1.

At the commencement of Semester 2 (or when the time comes for students to select activities) the selection period can be changed, and all previous selections are reset, and the counter is reset to 0.
Activities Setup > Student Portal Settings > The student portal setup section of activities allows you to turn on and off access to different sections of the student self registration portal.

  • Student Self Registration - This option will globally turn on/off self registration for student activities
  • Minimum Selections - The minimum required number of student activity selections
  • Maximum Selections - The maximum allowed number of student activity selections
