How to ensure a 0 mark remains at 0 when using the Standardise calculation

Statistically speaking, a 0 mark may not end up as 0 after you do a standardise calcuation, depending on a number of factors. If a task was not submitted, or an examination not sat for, it is likely that you want this 0 mark to stay at 0, even after any standardization is applied.

To ensure this happens, a 0 score can be set as 'Not Attempted'

To set a 0 score as 'Not Attempted', after having entered and saved the 0 score in your markbook, click on the cell and select the option 'Set as not attempted'

Important to Note
If being linked to reports, this 0 Not Attempted score will flow through as 0.
