Overall Markbook Module Access

The purpose of this level of Markbook access is only to control access to the more executive-level functions, i.e. can access setup, can archive / access archives, can access all personal, etc.

These permissions are found by going to: 

• Sentral Setup Cog > Manage User Accounts > Manage Permissions
• Select Markbook from the Modify Access Levels for drop-down

Markbook Access Levels

This level of access applies to Teachers who are assigned to Classes of a Markbook within a Faculty Markbook. By default, Personal Markbooks are provided all access to the user who has created it, in conjunction with Administrator rights to access all markbooks, be they Personal or Faculty.

When you create a markbook, you have the "Access Levels" button when you first go into it, which is where you define the default access for that markbook - i.e. "Teacher access can: Modify Columns, Edit task values (default), View tasks, Not see tasks", etc. and similarly for calculations.

Further restrictions can then be applied to the markbook on a per-column basis. This is done when you go into the Edit Markbook screen, where you find all columns listed for setup of the markbook structure. 

To set an access level permission on a specific column:

• click Actions aligned with the column to be updated
• select Configure ACLs
• set the permission level for Teachers to be applied to this particular column

Faculty Head Teacher Access Levels

Further access is provided to the Faculty Head Teacher assigned to each Faculty configured within Markbook. To assign a user as a Faculty Head Teacher, go to:

• Markbook Setup > Faculties
• Click Assign Faculty Head(s)
• Select (highlighted BLUE) the staff member(s) to be assigned to this Faculty
• Save to apply

Faculty Head Teachers have access to ALL  faculty markbooks, classes and Edit Markbook screens within their assigned faculty.
