How do I re-enrol a student who has previously been at the school?

Scenario: I have a student that has left and has been processed to Alumni with an end date. What is the correct procedure when a student has left (an end date has been entered), but they have now re-enrolled back in the school?

Answer: You'll need to re-enrol the student NOT create a new enrolment record. 

  • Search for student or go to Former Students 
  • When doing a student search, click on the down arrow in search field & tick Include past and/or inactive students

  • Student Summary displays a message
This student is not currently actively enrolled for this school and will not show up in other areas of Sentral. If the student has not yet started, or has now departed the school, this is expected behaviour. Review the following items if this is not what you are expecting.
A residential household has not been set
No active enrolment record was found for the current academic period

  • Click on Re-Enrol Student icon 

  • Complete online form ensuring all mandatory fields are selected.

  • Note: Do not go to the Start and End date screen within enrolments and change the enrolment record as it mucks up with academic periods. Re-enolling in enough 
  • Ensure you add a residential Household so the student appears active
