What is an academic period?

The academic period is the School Year. This period will generally commence just prior to the commencement of Term 1 and will end on or after the end of the Last Term of the school year, but before the commencement of Term 1 of the following School Year. You can also use the full calendar year.

Students will not sync between Enrolments and Sentral Data Layer until the academic period has commenced. 

Subsequent Academic Periods should always continue on from the following-day of the last Academic Period to ensure that student lists and continuing enrolments remain active within both Enrolments and the Sentral data layer, following a rollover. For example:
